Profhilo
Also known as an injectable moisturiser, Profhilo is a bio-remodelling treatment made of hyaluronic acid. This means it activates stem cells known as adipocytes to renew fat cells, stimulates skin cells to promote production of collagen and elastin, promotes wound healing and hydrates the skin. Profhilo is thinner in its structure than fillers and therefore does not have the same volume-increasing effects, but rather draws in water to plump and hydrate the skin. Additionally, by promoting the production of the skin's own cells, Profhilo has a skin tightening and lifting effect, as well as plumping fine lines and wrinkles, smoothing skin texture, and giving your skin a hydrating glow.
It provides immediate hydration and promotes youthful cell production, and has benefits including
Lifting and tightening lax skin
Smooths fine lines and wrinkles
Improves acne scarring
Fewer injection points
Less downtime and skin irritation
A natural hydrating glow
We use 5 injection points on each side of the face to allow the product to spread evenly. A numbing cream is applied to optimise comfort. The procedure is generally very well tolerated. Small bumps will be visible straight after treatment, and will disperse over the course of 12-24 hours. We recommend 2 treatments 4 weeks apart to see the full effects. The treatment cycle can be performed twice per year.
Skin boosters are injectable treatments providing deep hydration to the skin. It involves a series of microinjections of hyaluronic acid alongside a combination of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals which work to improve the quality of your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters spread evenly in your skin and therefore do not provide volume, resulting in the preservation of your natural facial shape.
Skin boosters increase hydration and provides antioxidant protection to create a glowing complexion, increases skin vibrancy, evens skin tone and plumps the skin. It is beneficial for
Thinning skin
Dry and dull skin
Skin laxity
Fine lines and wrinkles
Acne scarring
As skin boosters are injected to the superficial layers of the skin they are regarded as extremely safe. As with all injectable treatments, skin boosters carry a small risk of bruising, swelling and infection. Small lumps will be present on the skin surface for 12-24 hours. After this the product will naturally spread under the skin. The treatment involves multiple microinjections across the surface of the skin, with numbing cream applied prior. You may experience some mild discomfort, but the injections are rarely painful.
At SCIN aesthetics we use the award-winning Teoxane Redensity 1. We recommend 2-3 sessions 3 weeks apart.

Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides are a new technology which rapidly gained popularity in recent years due to their remarkable ability to revitalise the skin, promote collagen production, and enhance overall skin quality. Polynucleotides are biologically active molecules derived from salmon DNA. These long-chain nucleotides are naturally present in our bodies and play a vital role in cell regeneration and wound healing processes. In aesthetic medicine, synthetic polynucleotides are used to promote skin rejuvenation, enhance collagen synthesis, and improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
Polynucleotides have many benefits including
Improved skin elasticity, firmness and texture
Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
Reduction in inflammation
Improved skin hydration, plumpness and glow
Reduced pigmentation and melasma
Targets free radicals and oxidative stress
Reduces eye bags and discolouration
Polynucleotides are suitable for those wishing to improve their skin quality without the use of fillers.
Polynucleotides can also be used to directly target problem areas such as the undereye.
We recommend a course of 3 treatments 2 weeks apart.
